Privacy Policy

plato·gitignore is operated by Plato. This site is a single-purpose web utility for generating .gitignore files. It does not require an account, does not transmit your template selections to any server, and stores nothing beyond what your browser keeps locally.
What we collect
- Template selections you make — stay 100% in your browser. All template assembly runs in JavaScript locally. Verify by opening DevTools → Network — no requests are made when you select templates or copy/download the output.
- Anonymous analytics — we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. No personal data is collected.
- Advertising — this site serves ads via Google AdSense. Ad code from Google’s advertising network is loaded. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads. You can opt out at Google Ads Settings.
What we do NOT collect
- Your name, email, address, or phone number — we don’t ask
- The template selections you make or the .gitignore content you generate — never transmitted
- Account information — there are no accounts
- Payment information — the tool is free

Data subject rights (GDPR, CCPA)
Since we do not collect personal information beyond anonymous analytics, in most cases there is nothing to disclose, correct, or delete. Contact us if you have a specific request.
